Step-by-step instructions

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell at your shoulders with an overhand grip.

Keep your back straight and bend your knees slightly.

Drive the barbell upwards by extending your arms and legs at the same time. Your body should feel as though it’s pushing the weight up.

Lower the barbell back down to your shoulders in a controlled motion.

Then, bend your knees slightly to absorb the impact and prepare for the next rep. Repeat the exercise for the programmed number of reps.
